Bucket list item: Become a marathon runner
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the 2023 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. I'll be taking on 26.2 miles on October 8th to support the kids of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls. I'll be running with my brother-in-law, Ed, my cousin, Albert, and my childhood bestie, Yvette. I can't wait to see all the volunteers and spectators throughout the neighborhoods of Chicago! I'll be sure to share my bib number so you can track me and give me that boost of adrenalin I'll need to get me across the finish line! Thank you so much for your donation!

Ria
Mercy Home has saved thousands of young lives
Since 1887, Mercy Home has saved thousands of young lives from environments marked by neglect, abuse, and despair. With our help, Mercy Home is able to give our kids the chance to not just survive but thrive. Mercy Home provides guidance for healing and growth, support to catch up in school, and the tools to build a successful and self-reliant future. Last year alone, Mercy Home served more than 1,040 youth and families through their residential, community care, mentoring, and referral programs.
And because Mercy Home is nearly 100% privately funded, the support of people just like you and me is critical to our mission. I am running to ensure Mercy Home will continue to have the resources it needs to give these kids hope for tomorrow. As Mercy Home Heroes, we believe no distance is too far to save a child.
