Welcome to my 2020 Heroes Challenge fundraising page!
My company, The Provant Group, is teaming up to support Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. On October 23rd, we will be (safely) participating in a 5k together to raise $5,000 for Mercy Home.
Mercy Home for Boys & Girls has broken the cycle of neglect and abuse for over 30,000 kids since 1887. Mercy Home for Boys & Girls saves young lives by:
- A safe, nurturing residential treatment home,
- AfterCare support for former residents and their families,
- Community-based and site-based youth mentoring,
- Promotes therapeutic, educational, vocational, spiritual and life skill development,
- Is committed to raising public awareness of youth in need and encourages support to help them,
- Is sustained by benefactors who believe in the miracle of God’s mercy in action.
Mercy Home operates entirely on donations and due to the pandemic, they have not been able to host many of their largest fundraisers. Now, more than ever, we will support Mercy Home's vision and create a better future for our youth. Join us and become a Hero for the children of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.
Why I am raising money for Mercy Home?
Since 1887, Mercy Home has saved thousands of young lives from environments marked by neglect, abuse, and despair. With our help, Mercy Home is able to give our kids the chance to not just survive but thrive. Mercy Home provides guidance for healing and growth, support to get caught up in school, and the tools to build a successful and self-reliant future. Last year alone, Mercy Home served more than 1100 youth and families through their residential, aftercare, mentoring, and referral programs. And because Mercy Home is more than 99 percent privately funded, the support of people just like you and me is critical to our mission. I am completing this challenge to ensure Mercy Home will continue to have the resources it needs to create brighter futures for these kids. As Mercy Home Heroes, we believe no distance is too far to save a child.
